AGREEMENT

These Terms apply to be-great-basketball.com and to events run by Be Great Basketball LLC ("BGB," "we," "us"). By using our website or attending or playing in a BGB event, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or attend.

USING OUR WEBSITE

  • Use the site only for lawful purposes.

  • Don't try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site.

  • Information on the site, including event dates and prices, may change. We try to keep it accurate but can't guarantee it is always current.

OUR CONTENT AND BRAND

The BGB name, logos, "Better Than Yesterday," "I Am Who I Said I Am," 6Ones6, and all photos, video, graphics, and text on this site belong to BGB or are used with permission. You may share our posts using the platform's built-in sharing tools. You may not copy, sell, or use our content or brand for commercial purposes without written permission.

TICKETS AND ADMISSION

  • Tickets are sold at the door unless we announce otherwise.

  • Tickets are non-refundable, except when BGB cancels an event. If an event is canceled and not rescheduled, ticket holders may request a refund.

  • Schedules, matchups, and formats may change.

  • We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who is disruptive, unsafe, or breaks venue rules, without a refund.

  • All attendees must follow the rules of the host venue, including Godwin Heights Public Schools policies.

EVENT SAFETY AND RISK

Basketball is a physical sport. Spectators near the court may be at risk of being hit by balls or players. Players take part at their own risk and must sign BGB's participation waiver before playing. To the fullest extent allowed by law, BGB is not responsible for injury, loss, or damage to personal property at events, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

PHOTO AND VIDEO CONSENT

BGB events are photographed and filmed. By attending or playing, you agree that BGB may record and use your image, likeness, voice, and name in photos and video for our website, social media, sponsor recaps, and promotional materials, without payment. If you'd like a specific photo or video removed from our channels, email us and we will make reasonable efforts to remove it.

PLAYERS AND PRIZES

  • Player eligibility is set for each event and announced in advance.

  • Prize money is paid to the winner after the event. Winners must provide a completed IRS Form W-9 before payment, and prize winnings may be reported to the IRS as required by law.

  • BGB may disqualify players for unsportsmanlike conduct, fighting, or rule violations.

CODE OF CONDUCT

BGB events are for competing hard and respecting the game. No fighting, threats, harassment, or hate speech, on the court or in the stands. Violations may result in removal and a ban from future events.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND STORES

Our site links to other services, such as the BGB Store on Spreadshop and our social media accounts. Purchases made through the BGB Store are subject to Spreadshop's terms, shipping, and return policies. We aren't responsible for third-party websites.

NO WARRANTIES

The website is provided "as is." We don't promise it will always be available or error-free.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent allowed by law, BGB is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or attendance at events. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid BGB for the ticket or service related to the claim.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Kent County, Michigan.
